Gangubai Kathiawadi wows audience at LA’s Aero Theatre

There has been a buzz in Bollywood that Dostana 2 is on cards and actors Alia Bhatt, Janhvi Kapoor and Sidharth Malhotra are being considered for the film. However, it seems that rumours mills have got it totally wrong this time, at least as far as the choice of actors is concerned.
Filmmaker Karan Johar has cleared the air about all the speculations surrounding the film. He made it clear that no one had been approached yet.
Karan shared on Twitter and wrote, “For the record…..NO ONE has been officially approached for DOSTANA 2!!!! Some thoughts and ideas are underway but nothing official has moved.”

It is not the first time that Karan Johar has dismissed Dostana 2 speculations. In August 2018, he had rubbished the speculations and posted, “Hello, all news circulating about Dostana 2 is untrue. Lots of speculation which is entirely baseless.”

Reports also stated that the 25-year-old actor Alia Bhatt, who made her debut with Karan’s Student of The Year, was keen about working on the film.
Dostana was released in 2008 and starred Priyanka Chopra, Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham. The film was a blockbuster and was directed by Traun Mansukhani.
Karan Johar’s upcoming films as a producer are Kalank, Student of the Year 2, Kesari and Brahmastra. Meanwhile, he will also be directing Takht, which is a multi-starrer film.
