The long wait is over as the first song of the much-awaited film of 2019, Gully Boy, featuring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt is out.
The full version of the song Apna Time Aayega – the anthem that hooked us to the trailer of the film – is picturised on Ranveer Singh and has lyrics written by rapper Divine and Ankur Tewari, making the song a youth anthem.

The two-and-a-half minute video starts with Ranveer Singh being pushed by his coach to train harder to become the ‘rapper’. The song depicts the character’s journey and his determination to become a famous rapper. The energetic Ranveer Singh himself sings the song.

Alia Bhatt and Kalki Koechlin also appear in the song.
In the film, Ranveer plays the role of an underdog rapper who becomes a sensation in the world of hip hop.

Gully Boy is directed by Zoya Akhtar and produced by Excel Entertainment — Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani. The film is scheduled to be released on 14 February 2019.
