With a plethora of releases this year, Vicky Kaushal has been unstoppable. After delivering a powerful performance in the film ‘Manmarziyaan’, the actor will now be seen portraying the role of a soldier in his upcoming film.
The makers of the film ‘Uri’ released the teaser on the second anniversary of the 2016 surgical strikes which were carried out by Indian Army’s Special Forces.

‘Uri’, a war drama, is based on the strikes of September 2016 in which the Indian Army avenged the killing of 19 soldiers by Pakistani terrorists.

The film traces the significant event in the history of the Indian Army.
Actor Vicky Kaushal shared the teaser on social media and captioned it, “A defining moment in India’s military history. A moment that paved a path to a new, stronger India.”
Co-actor Yami Gautam also shared the poster and the teaser of the film. She tweeted, “In the early hours of 29th September 2016, Indian soldiers avenged those who were martyred in the URI attacks. This is their brave story.”
Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film stars Vicky Kaushal, Paresh Rawal and Yami Gautam in the lead roles. Slated to release next year on 11 January 2019, the film is produced by Ronnie Screwvala.
