The trailer of Diljit Dosanjh and Taapsee Pannu-starrer Soorma is out. Based on the life of international hockey player Sandeep Singh, Soorma is Diljit Dosanjh’s fourth Hindi film.
The biopic also has Angad Bedi in one of the lead roles, apart from Diljit and Taapsee. The trailer came out today (June 11) and shows the actors have perfectly blended with their respective characters.

In the 2 minutes and 40 seconds long trailer, a young Sandeep (Diljit Dosanjh) shows a dislike towards hockey but started giving full attention to the game after falling for a hockey player, Preet (Taapsee Pannu). Just when he sets out to win a medal, a tragic accident leaves him paralysed. He loses the game as well as his love (Preet). With determination and hard work, Sandeep makes a grand comeback and goes on to play at international levels. The trailer traces the journey of him getting back on his feet and becoming a legendary hockey player.

Taapsee Pannu shared the trailer from his Twitter handle. Her tweet read, “Asal khiladi woh nahi jo kabhi girte nahi, woh hai jo girke fir uth jaye! Watch the inspirational tale of one such champion #Soorma Trailer”
Soorma is directed by Shaad Ali and produced by Sony Pictures Networks Productions, Chitrangda Singh and Deepak Singh. Soorma is set to hit the screens on July 13, 2018.

Amid the controversy surrounding the Diljit Dosanjh-starrer Satluj, the Central government, according to sources, is considering bringing OTT platforms under the purview of the censor.
In a separate video message, the minister said his commitment to Punjab and the country would continue, adding that his efforts were aimed at preventing conflict rather than fuelling it.
