An Army porter was killed on Monday in firing by the Pakistan Army on the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Police said Khurshid Ahmed was killed in Uri sector. Reports reaching here said there was no retaliatory firing by the Indian forces.

The attack, which lasted for nearly four hours, created panic among residents in the Hariyawan police station area.
Preliminary police investigation showed the crash was a lone incident "caused by a loss of control by the tanker driver," Sa'adu said, adding that many victims sustained severe burns.
“The incident occurred late on Thursday night, and we received a call regarding the matter at around 3 am,” a senior police officer said.
