The admin of a WhatsApp group was arrested after a BJP leader filed a complaint alleging objectionable post on the messaging application, the police said on Friday.
BJP divisional president Vineet Thakur had filed the complaint against the admin and another group member, after which the former was arrested yesterday in Khatauli town, a police official said.

Thakur had alleged that a message, which was posted on the group, had “hurt sentiments” of a particular religion. BJP activists, led by Thakur, had staged protests demanding action, the official said.
