Rahul Gandhi joins TDP protest at Jantar Mantar

Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday has joined in with the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and Yuvajana Shramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRC) protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi.

Rahul said that the Congress party is in favour of granting special status to Andhra Pradesh and if they come to power in 2019.

While sharing a stage with TDP leaders, Congress President said, “What is due to the people of Andhra Pradesh should be given to them, at once”.

The TDP is a major ally of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led NDA alliance and has been upset over the Central government’s failure to grant the special package to Andhra Pradesh.
