Teacher arrested on charge of raping student

A teacher has been arrested for allegedly raping a minor girl here, police said on Saturday.

The teacher, Arvind, lured the girl, a student of class 9, after promising her financial assistance and raped her three days ago, in-charge of Mataudh police station Anita Singh Chauhan said.

“The accused teacher was arrested yesterday,” Chauhan said, and added that the girl has been sent for medical examination.
