The central government on Monday appointed union Revenue Secretary Hasmukh Adhia as Finance Secretary.
The decision to designate Adhia, an IAS officer of the 1986 batch of the Gujarat cadre, was taken by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC).

“The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved designating Hasmukh Adhia, IAS (Gujarat 1981), Secretary, Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance as Finance Secretary,” the ACC said in its order.
