Unidentified gunmen opened fire at a sweet shop in the Miran Sahib area of Jammu and Kashmir.
All educational institutions in Kashmir would remain closed on Thursday as a precautionary measure after separatists called on students to stage peaceful protests against the rising braid chopping incidents in the valley.
More than 100 incidents have been reported but no arrests have been made even after a month. Police has formed special investigation teams and is offering a reward of Rs six lakh for information leading to arrest of the culprits.
An official spokesperson said an order to close the educational institutions in the valley was issued by Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Baseer Khan yesterday.

The University of Kashmir also suspended classes for the day but examinations were conducted as per schedule.
