West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday hailed the country's democratic structure.
In a message on National Voters Day, she also urged the people to keep faith in a nation like India that is run "by the people, for the people".

"Proud of our great democracy," the Trinamool Congress leader tweeted.

Kabir said that he is ready to resign and ensure Mamata Banerjee is elected from Rejinagar.
Regarding the current state of agriculture in West Bengal, Chakraborty cited high costs of cultivation and non-payment of reasonable prices for the produce as the main issues.
Mamata Banerjee gave a nod to Firhad Hakim’s proposal to resign from the mayoral post claimed by TMC leader Kunal Ghosh today.
