Tech giant Lenovo has launched budget smartphone Vibe K5 Plus at a jaw dropping price of Rs.8499. The phone that will go on sale on March 23 will take on the Coolpad Note 3 and the Xiaomi Redmi Note Prime.
The device has a 5-inch, FullHD 1080p scratch-resistant display and is powered by the ubiquitous Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 coupled with Adreno 405GPU along with 2GB of RAM and 16GB storage which can be expanded to 128 GB with a microSD card.
Although, cameras on Lenovo phones tend to be average, the company has plonked in a 13-megapixel shooter at the back of the phone and a 5-megapixel selfie camera at the front. The 2750mAh battery is removable.
The phone runs on Android 5.1 and has dual SIM support, Bluetooth, as well as FM Radio.
However, the phone&’s USP is the support for ‘TheaterMax’ technology that splits the screen in two when viewing through the ANT VR headset that is sold separately. The phone also supports Dolby Atmos and has dual stereo speakers on the back.
The K5 Plus has a metal body and is available in gold, silver, and grey colours.
