Kylian Mbappe may be fast friends with France teammate Antoine Griezmann, but the Paris Saint-Germain star showcased his ruthless side when he nutmegged his Les Blues teammate in a rondo.

Mbappe, who announced his presence on the world football map with his barnstorming displays for Monaco last year, moved to PSG in the summer on a season-long deal.

The loan deal is expected to become permanent for a reported fee of €180 million next year, which would make him the world’s second-most expensive player of all time, behind only PSG teammate and Brazil forward Neymar.

The precocious 18-year-old has been capped by France at the senior level just nine times, yet is seen an integral part of Didier Deschamps’ side ahead of the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

Les Blues had an impressive qualifying campaign for next year’s footballing extravaganza, topping  their Group with a tally of 23 points from 10 games. They beat Wales 2-0 in a friendly tie on Saturday thanks to goals from Griezmann and Olivier Giroud but their final match of the year is a mammoth one.

France visit neighbours and reigning World Cup champions Germany on Tuesday and will be hoping to get one over their great rivals.

Griezmann, who is the focal point of their attacks, hasn’t been in top form for club Atletico Madrid but after he found the back of the net against Wales, Didier Deschamps will be hoping the 26-year-old can maintain his goal-scoring streak.

It’s a big week for the mercurial forward as after the clash with Die Mannschaft, he returns to the Spanish capital to prepare for the first-ever Madrid Derby at the swanky Wanda Metropolitano Stadium.

Atletico and Real Madrid haven’t made the best of starts to their seasons and Saturday’s clash has even higher stakes as they are both trailing leaders Barcelona by a hefty eight points after 11 rounds of matches in the Spanish La Liga.
