Defending champion India to take on Thailand in the Thomas Cup Opener
India have sent an 18-member contingent - 10 men and eight women - for the Thomas and Uber Cup Finals which will be held between April 27 and May 5.
Union Sports Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore on Saturday lauded badminton star PV Sindhu for making it to the finals of Korean Open.
In a tweet, the sports minister said: “Congrats champion! @Pvsindhu1 keeps flying the tricolor high, making it to the finals of #KoreanOpen Super Series! All the very best!”

World number four, Sindhu defeated her Chinese opponent HE Biangjiao- 21-10,17-21,21-16 to enter the finals.
She will now have the chance to avenge her defeat in the World Championships as she will face Japan’s Nozomi Okuhara.
