In a high-voltage game, India will face arch-rivals Pakistan in their second T-20 match of the Asia Cup at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka on Saturday.
India will aim to keep their winning momentum going while Pakistan players, who are fresh from the recently-concluded Pakistan Super League (PSL), will try to give India a tough competition.
India, who are fresh from a win against Bangladesh, have lost only one game against Pakistan in the shortest format of the game, while Pakistan have lost five in the six games played between both the nations.
India&’s batting is in supreme form. But, Dhoni&’s men would like to showcase a better performance with the bat against Pakistan. Not to forget that India&’s batting had faltered against Bangladesh. It&’s only because of superb knock by Rohit and cameo by Hardik Pandya that India managed to score 166 in 20 overs.
In the bowling department, India would like to continue with the good form. Dhoni, who is not known for fiddling with the squad, is expected to go with the same playing 11.
As far as the Pakistan team is concerned, the 2009 World T20 winners are dependent on their charismatic all-rounder Shahid Khan Afridi, who is also leading the team. Mohammad Hafeez and Shoaib Malik are the other experienced players in the side.
Not to forget, Mohammad Amir who has made a successful comeback to the Pakistan team after being convicted for spot-fixing.
For the record, India have won the Asia Cup five times, Pakistan only twice. Head-to-head both the teams have won five games each, out of the 10 games played.
