Party hopping gains momentum in Odisha ahead of the simultaneous polls
Keeping in tune with the trend, former MLA Prakash Behera on Friday resigned from the primary membership of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
BJP chief Amit Shah will launch a 15-day padyatra (foot march) starting 3 October to protest the killings of its workers in Kerala, Union Minister Piyush Goyal said on Monday.
“Shri Amit Shah ji said that from October 3-17 BJP workers will do a ‘padyatra’ in Kerala to protest political violence against its workers and connect with the people,” Goyal said during a press conference at the ongoing Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National Executive meet.
A spate of political killings have rocked Kerala with several attacks and counter-attacks between the ruling CPM and the right-wing the BJP and its ideological parent Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).
