PM Modi to Inaugurate India Mobile Congress on Wednesday

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the 9th edition of the India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2025 on Wednesday, October 8, at Yashobhoomi in New Delhi, his office said.

The event, jointly organised by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI), will be held from October 8-11.

The theme of IMC 2025 is “Innovate to Transform,” highlighting India’s commitment to leveraging innovation for digital transformation and societal progress.
The expected participation is over 1.5 lakh visitors from over 150 countries, 7,000+ global delegates, and 400+ companies.
The key focus Areas include Optical Communications, Semiconductors in Telecom, Quantum Communications, 6G, and Fraud Risk Indicators.

Over 1,600 new use-cases across areas such as 5G/6G, AI, smart mobility, cybersecurity, quantum computing, and green technology will be showcased.
The IMC will see international collaboration with delegations from Japan, Canada, the United Kingdom, Russia, Ireland, and Austria participating in the event.

The inauguration ceremony will start at 9:45 AM on October 8, which will have over 100 sessions and 800+ speakers.
The objective of the event is to foster collaboration, showcase India’s strengths in telecom, electronics, and digital inclusion, and prepare the country to lead in next-generation technologies.
