Addressing the media for the first time after assuming office of the Chief Minister of Bihar, Samrat Chaudhary assured the people that the new government would continue to function along the same lines as the previous administration led by Nitish Kumar.

He said Bihar would continue to follow the “Narendra Modi and Nitish model” and emphasised that his government had begun work from day one with a focus on the state’s prosperity.

“I have assumed office as Chief Minister for the prosperity of Bihar and will begin work from today itself. Be assured that Bihar will continue to follow the Narendra Modi and Nitish model,” he said.

Soon after his swearing-in, supporters had raised slogans of “Bulldozer Baba Zindabad,” triggering political discussions over whether the BJP would adopt a “Yogi model” in Bihar on the lines of Uttar Pradesh.

Earlier, Chaudhary held his first review meeting with senior officials at the state secretariat. He formally assumed charge in the presence of top officials and signed initial files.

Hours after being sworn in as the first BJP Chief Minister of Bihar, Samrat Chaudhary visited the party’s state office in Patna, where he received a grand welcome, with thousands of party workers raising slogans in support of the BJP, NDA, and the new chief minister.

During his visit, Chaudhary paid floral tributes to eminent thinkers Deendayal Upadhyaya, Syama Prasad Mukherjee, and Kailashpati Mishra.
