Saini hails Nitish Kumar’s return as Bihar CM, cites ‘positive changes ahead’

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Saini on Thursday congratulated the newly formed Nitish Kumar-led state government after a thumping victory in the recently concluded Bihar Assembly Elections 2025.

Saini said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the newly formed government in Bihar will certainly bring positive changes and “move forward with even greater speed on the path of development”.

“Heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the Chief Minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar, and the Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, and all the colleagues who took oath for ministerial positions in the Bihar government,” the Haryana CM said.

“Under the guidance of the Prime Minister, your collective resolve for the development of the state, good governance, and service to the people will certainly bring positive changes. Under your leadership, Bihar will move forward with even greater speed on the path of development, good governance, and public welfare,” said Saini.

After becoming the CM of Bihar for the 10th time, Nitish Kumar exuded confidence that Bihar will be included in the category of the “most developed states in the country”.

“With the resolve for all-round development of Bihar, the NDA government in the state will work with full commitment with the cooperation of the Central Government. I am confident that with the cooperation and blessings of the people of Bihar, we will include Bihar in the category of the most developed states in the country,” said Kumar.

He also extended “heartfelt thanks” and gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for gracing the oath-taking ceremony.

Elections to the 243-member Bihar Legislative Assembly were held from 6 to 11 November, and the counting took place on 14 November.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) had a landslide victory, securing 202 of the 243 seats. The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD)-led Mahagathbandhan (MGB) secured merely 35 seats.
