A brief four-day winter session of the Uttar Pradesh Legislature will commence on December 19. On December 22, the Yogi Adityanath government will bring the first supplementary budget proposals.
According to the schedule of the assembly announced here on Tuesday, on December 19, the house will pass a condolence message on the death of sitting SP member Sudhakar Singh and it will adjourn for the day.
On December 22, state Finance Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna will table the first supplementary budget proposals at 12:20 pm after the question hour. The size of the supplementary budget could be around Rs 10,000 crores to speed up the pace of development in the state.
December 23 has been kept for legislation business and on December 24, the session will end after the passage of the supplementary budget.
In this brief session, the Opposition will try to raise issues like SIR, privatisation of the power sector, law and order and corruption in the government departments.
