Disha Patani’s workout videos on social media are an inspiration for her fans. Despite working on multiple projects simultaneously, the actor tries not to miss her workout programme.

Talking about her fitness goals inspite of her busy working schedule, she states, “I don’t skip working out at any cost. Also, what one eats reflects on the body and skin. So, you should avoid junk food and eat healthy.”

Her workout consists a variety of activities, including weight training and muscle-building exercises.

“I like to indulge in gymnastics, weight training and mixed martial arts to stay fit. Also, I try to not skip workout and train about six days a week”. Disha further adds that she follows her routine with sincerity but does give in to her cravings. “One day in a week is my cheat day, and I address my cravings then”.

She also shared that on some days when she is not in the mood to workout, she goes easy on herself. “Like everyone else, I do it, too. There are times when I am in a mood to laze around and not hit the gym. During those situations, I am easy on myself and go for a jog.”

For those looking for some motivation, Disha says that the key is to, “push oneself out of the comfort zone to achieve goals and see results”. But just pumping iron in the gym isn’t enough. She says, “One needs to strike a balance between both — diet and workout — as it’s equally important to stay healthy and exercise.”

However, the actress warns that the fitness regime is no one-size-fitsall. She says, “It’s very subjective and people should always only set realistic standards, and not adhere to impractical fads. Follow what suits your bodies.”

Talking about tweaking her diet for her upcoming film Malang, she shared, “My character in Malang didn’t require me to have any extreme physical transformations but I was on a high protein diet during the whole schedule. My diet used to comprise of eggs, chicken, nuts, dairy products and lots of broccoli. Even when I was shooting at different locations, I couldn’t explore the local food there but tried my best to stick to my diet. It was a little hard to control but when I am focused on something, I make sure that I do it.”

Disha Patani will next be seen in Mohit Suri’s Malang alongside Aditya Roy Kapoor.
