Japanese boy band JO1, famous for their powerful performances and chart-topping music, is all ready to land in India. The 11-member group has been winning hearts across Asia and beyond. And now, for the first time, they will step into the vibrant city of Mumbai.

The band, formed in 2019 under Lapone Entertainment, consists of Issei Mamehara, Ren Kawashiri, Takumi Kawanishi, Shosei Ohira, Shion Tsurubo, Ruki Shiroiwa, Keigo Sato, Syoya Kimata, Junki Kono, Sukai Kinjo, and Sho Yonashiro.

For this India trip, however, only two members, Mame (Issei Mamehara) and Shosei (Shosei Ohira), will represent the group.

During their short stay, the duo will not only enjoy Mumbai’s unique energy but also act as cultural ambassadors, connecting India and Japan through music.

According to the team, they are scheduled to meet personalities from the entertainment and cultural industries.

Of course, no trip to Mumbai is complete without sightseeing. Mame and Shosei are likely to visit iconic landmarks such as the Gateway of India and Marine Drive, soaking in the history and charm of the city.

JO1 has had a remarkable journey since their debut. Every CD they have released in Japan has topped the music charts. But their reach doesn’t stop there.

In 2025, they went on a world tour that covered six countries, spreading J-Pop fever across continents.

Earlier this year, the group also achieved a career milestone by performing their biggest show yet, a concert at the Tokyo Dome with over 100,000 people cheering for them. Not just in Asia, JO1 has also made their mark in the West. They performed at the Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.

Though the exact dates of their Mumbai visit are yet to be out, fans are already buzzing with anticipation.
