Jo Beet Gayi So Baat Gayi: Actor Manoj Bajpayee recently appeared on ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 17’, and the episode turned into a warm fun-filled reunion featuring his ‘The Family Man 3’ co-stars Jaideep Ahlawat and Sharib Hashmi. The latest promo shared on social media gives a glimpse of the three actors bringing their easy humour and close bond to the popular quiz show, while host Amitabh Bachchan joined in with his own charm.

One of the most memorable moments came from a story Bajpayee shared from the sets of ‘Aarakshan’, the 2011 film in which he worked with Amitabh Bachchan.

He recalled that during a break in the shoot, he had been casually reciting a few lines from a poem by Amitabh’s father, the legendary poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan. The poem was “Jo Beet Gayi So Baat Gayi”, a piece many people know but often do not recite correctly.

Bajpayee said he did not realise Amitabh Bachchan was standing nearby while he was speaking the lines. When Big B overheard him, he gently stopped him and asked him to say the poem properly.

Laughing while narrating this on the show, Bajpayee said he still remembers that moment clearly because it made him nervous and excited at the same time.

On the KBC stage, Manoj Bajpayee requested Amitabh Bachchan to recite a part of the poem for the audience. Amitabh agreed and spoke a few verses in his deep, powerful voice. The studio fell silent as he recited:

“Jo beet gayi so baat gayi !

Jeevan mein ek sitara tha,

mana, wo behad pyara tha,

wah doob gaya toh doob gaya

amber ke aanan ko dekho

kitne iske taare toote

kitne iske pyare chhoote

jo chhoot gaye phir kahan mile,

par bolo toote taron par

kab amber shok manata hai

Jo beet gayi so baat gayi.”

The makers of KBC shared the promo on Instagram with the caption encouraging viewers to tune in to the show every weekday at 9 pm on Sony Entertainment Television and Sony LIV.

Another clip from the episode, released earlier, showed the fun side of the interaction. In that video, Manoj Bajpayee recreated one of Amitabh Bachchan’s famous dialogues from the classic film ‘Deewaar’, but with his own Bhojpuri twist. In Bajpayee’s version, he loudly says, “Ae Peter, te ohne khoje hamare ke, hum ae ne baithal bane,” bringing laughter from the set.

Amitabh Bachchan did not stay behind. Smiling, he responded by giving a Bhojpuri-style twist to another iconic line. He said, “Ae dekha lalwa, jha khade ho vha tareke se khade raho. Ae police station hain, jano! Tohre baap ka ghar nahi hain.”
