Legendary Indian playback singer Asha Bhosle has passed away at the age of 92. She died on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at Breach Candy Hospital, Mumbai, due to multi-organ failure following cardiac and respiratory complications.
With her passing, India has lost one of its most versatile and fearless voices, a singer who ruled cabarets, romance, classical ghazals, and modern pop across eight decades.
