Samsung is pushing the limits of smartphone design once again with its newest creation: the Galaxy Z TriFold. This is Samsung’s first tri-folding smartphone. And, it promises to give users a tablet-like experience inside a pocket-sized device.

The Galaxy Z TriFold takes foldable tech to the next level. It comes with a massive 10-inch inner display in addition to innovative three-way folding design.

Samsung has already confirmed that the Galaxy Z TriFold will hit South Korea stores on December 12, 2025. After this the device is expected to roll out in markets like China, Taiwan, Singapore, the UAE, the United States.

While the company has yet to officially reveal the Indian launch, industry experts predict it could arrive in early 2026.

As for the price, it is likely to be around ₹2,50,000 in India making it a premium option for foldable phone enthusiasts.

Customers in the initial markets will also get the chance to experience the phone in select offline retail stores.

Design and build

The phone features a triple-folding design that transforms from a compact device into a tablet-sized screen with just a few folds. When fully opened, the 10-inch inner display dominates the experience.

The phone’s build is just as impressive. Samsung has reinforced the device with a titanium hinge and advanced armor aluminum.

Dual hinge rails each sized differently ensure that the screen folds seamlessly while maintaining stability. In terms of thickness, the phone measures 12.9mm when folded and just 3.9mm when unfolded.

Display and specs

Samsung has spared no expense in the display department. The inner 10.0-inch QXGA+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen comes with a resolution of 2,160×1,584 pixels. It also has a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and peak brightness of 1,600 nits.

The screen also supports 100% DCI-P3 color gamut which now delivers vibrant and true-to-life colors.

The 6.5-inch cover display also impresses. It features Full-HD+ resolution, a 21:9 aspect ratio, 120Hz refresh rate, 2,600 nits peak brightness. These are all protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2. The back panel uses Ceramic-Glass Fibre Reinforced Polymer.

Under the hood, the device runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, paired with 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage. It operates on Android 16 with OneUI 8, and it comes with an IP48 rating for dust and water resistance.

Battery life

The Galaxy Z TriFold comes equipped with a 5,600mAh battery. It is designed to keep up with the large power-hungry screens. Then it supports 45W wired fast charging and 15W wireless charging allowing users to juice up quickly. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and USB Type-C. Security is handled via a side-mounted capacitive fingerprint sensor.

Camera performance

Samsung’s commitment to photography shines through in the Galaxy Z TriFold. The device features a triple rear camera setup. This includes: 200MP primary sensor with OIS, 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens, 10MP telephoto lens with OIS and up to 30x digital zoom.

This combination promises high-resolution shots, absolutely stunning ultra-wide photos, and clear-cut detailed zoomed-in images.
