Yoga guru and wellness icon Swami Ramdev has just dropped some serious skincare secrets. And no, it doesn’t involve harsh chemicals or trendy gimmicks.
In a recent video, he revealed how anyone can tackle wrinkles, fine lines, dark spots using simple Ayurvedic methods and Patanjali products that are gentle, natural, effective.
It turns out, aging isn’t just about time. According to Swami Ramdev, factors like sun exposure, pollution, stress, poor sleep, unhealthy diet, chemical-laden cosmetics can all speed up the appearance of wrinkles and dark spots.
While modern skincare often masks these issues temporarily, Swami Ramdev warns that synthetic products can weaken skin over time, leaving it more vulnerable.
Ayurveda, on the other hand, focuses on nurturing your skin from the inside out, and the results, he says, last longer.
Here’s the breakdown of his advice, and yes, it’s easier than you might think.

1. Aloe Vera: The ancient skin healer
Swami Ramdev calls aloe vera the ultimate natural moisturiser and skin repair agent. Its hydrating and soothing properties make it a go-to for anyone looking to soften fine lines and fade dark spots.
“Think of it as a gentle wake-up call for your skin,” he says. With consistent use, your skin starts to look healthier and more vibrant, no harsh chemicals needed.
2. Herbal oils and creams for nourishment
Next up: herbal oils and creams. Swami Ramdev emphasises that Ayurveda’s secret lies in feeding the skin with the right nutrients. Fatty acids, antioxidants, and herbal extracts work together to restore radiance.
He recommends Patanjali products that do more than just moisturise. Using herbal oils regularly penetrates deep layers of skin, promoting long-lasting glow. And yes, it’s completely natural.
3. Turmeric and DIY face masks
If there’s one ingredient that Ayurveda swears by, it’s turmeric. Swami Ramdev suggests mixing it with natural ingredients like honey, curd, besan (gram flour), and sandalwood powder to make simple face masks at home.
A turmeric-honey paste applied a few times a week, he says, can brighten your complexion naturally. Forget expensive salon treatments.
4. Lifestyle: The unsung hero of skin health
Swami Ramdev believes skin is reflection of internal health. Without proper lifestyle habits, even the best products won’t work as effectively.
Drink plenty of warm water. Eat fresh fruits and vegetables rich in vitamins A, C, E. Practice stress-relieving activities like yoga, pranayama. Get sufficient sleep. Avoid direct sun exposure or use natural protection.
When your body is nourished and stress is managed, your skin naturally looks younger, firmer, and brighter.
