Patanjali has once again highlighted the growing impact of its wellness centres claiming that lakhs of people across the country are experiencing major improvements in their health through natural and traditional methods.

According to the organisation, these centres are helping patients manage and even reverse long-term illnesses using Ayurveda, yoga, naturopathy, panchakarma therapies as well as simple diet-lifestyle changes.

The company says its approach focuses on permanent healing rather than temporary relief. Several chronic conditions such as diabetes, thyroid disorders, hypertension, arthritis, obesity, asthma, migraine, skin diseases and even depression are being addressed through these natural practices.

Inside the Patanjali treatment model

Patanjali says that patients are admitted for structured packages of 7, 11, 21 or 30 days. During these stays, their daily routine begins as early as 4 am and continues till evening.

The schedule includes yoga, pranayama, shatkarma, juice therapy, body massage, hydrotherapy, acupressure and various panchakarma treatments.

Along with this, the centres provide sattvic meals prepared by a dedicated team of seven specialists. Patanjali claims that this mix of disciplined routine and clean food helps the body reset and heal from within.

“We treat from the root,” says Balkrishna

Acharya Balkrishna, the Chief Medical Director of Patanjali Wellness, explains the philosophy behind their treatments.

“Our aim is not to treat symptoms but to remove the disease from the root,” he says. “More than 90% of illnesses come from poor eating habits and an unhealthy lifestyle. Once these are corrected, the body automatically begins to heal itself.”

According to him, modern lifestyles have disconnected people from natural rhythms, and Patanjali’s wellness model attempts to restore that balance.

A network of 300+ centres across India

Patanjali says that more than 300 wellness centres are currently operating across India, and new centres are being opened in other countries as well. Every month, between 50,000 and 60,000 people reportedly visit these centres for treatment.

One of the key points the organisation highlights is affordability, claiming that the treatment costs remain very low compared to other wellness systems.

‘Not just healing, but transformation’

The organisation believes that these centres are helping revive India’s ancient medical wisdom and proving that traditional healing systems still hold strong relevance.

In a statement, Patanjali said, “Our wellness centres show that the ancient Indian medical system is as effective today as it was thousands of years ago. These centres are not just treating illnesses. They are changing people’s lives. They have become a major source of hope and trust. This proves that true healing lies not in medicine alone, but in nature and in self-discipline.”
