1. Clean the skin: Clean your face with water and face-wash or use cleansing milk to remove all that dirt on your face first. Wipe it dry with a soft towel. Avoid rough texture as it could cause damage to the skin surface.

2. Exfoliate the skin: Exfoliating the skin gives the much needed flawless and glowing skin. Use a good quality face-scrub or homemade face-scrubs to remove dead skin once a month and have a smooth skin. However, young skin should avoid face-scrub.

3. Facemask: Use a fruit-based facemask to tighten the skin. Depending on the skin type, you can use different facemasks. You can make your own honey-based or chandan or multani facemask at home.

4. Moisturise the skin: Always moisturise your face and neck area few minutes before you put that make-up on. However, different skin types require different types of moisturiser, lotion and cream to protect the skin from drying and scaling. So know your skin type before you buy them. Use the moisturiser and cream when the skin is slightly damp.

Now, your skin is ready to face any kind of cosmetic application. Choose your make-up shades in tune with the colour of your skin. Also, it is important to blend the colour of your make-up with that of accessories, dress, shoes, bags as well as nail colours.

Above all, before you start to dress, drink water and spend a small quiet moment of meditation. This will relief you of all the stress and bring out the glow in you. Glow and shine on.
