When it’s cold, drink cinnamon tea

When it’s cold, drink a cup of cinnamon tea. Cinnamon essence will keep you warm and strong against ailments of the cold weather, so goes the old saying.

It’s been raining a lot throughout the country this year, bringing down the mercury to an unusually less warmer weather during this time of the year.

As many parts of the country are soaked in flood water and the wet weather continues to persist, many are falling prey to viral fever, cold and cough.

So, if you are bitten by the wet weather bug, drink a cup of cinnamon tea.

According to ancient practice, cinnamon drink is helpful in relieving cold congestion as well as sore throat when consumed along with ginger, honey and orange.

How to make cinnamon tea

It is easy to make cinnamon tea.  Boil water according to the requirement.

Squeeze few drops of orange juice and a teaspoon of honey to a cup of hot water. Add a teaspoon of cinnamon powder and stir it well.

Or,

Add a teaspoon of cinnamon powder, tulsi leaves, crushed pieces of ginger and crushed black pepper into two cups of boiling water.

Stir it well and strain the liquid into a cup.

Then, add a teaspoon of honey and stir it well.

Don’t wait for it to cool. Drink it hot.

Drink a cup of it every morning and evening till the flu is gone.
