Ahead of the Bihar polls, PM Modi intensified his attack on the opposition, highlighting their recent insulting remarks comparing Bihar to a bidi and reiterating his charge that they support infiltrators, linking it to his Demography Mission.
PM Modi said Bihar’s rapid development is unsettling those who exploited the state for decades. Highlighting that a ‘Made in Bihar’ rail engine is now being exported to Africa, he alleged that Congress and RJD leaders cannot accept Bihar setting new benchmarks and resort to insulting the state whenever it progresses.
PM Modi was speaking at a rally in Purnea district in poll-bound Bihar on Monday. This was his seventh trip to the poll-bound state since January, underscoring the importance he places on Bihar’s electoral landscape.
Training guns at the opposition and highlighting the Bidi-Bihar row triggered by Congress leader VT Balram, following the announcement of GST slashed rates, PM Modi said, “You must have just seen that the Congress Party, an ally of RJD, is comparing Bihar to a beedi on social media.”
He added. “These people have so much hatred for Bihar. These people have caused immense damage to Bihar’s reputation through scams and corruption.”
Referring to the demography mission he announced on Independence Day, he said that people in states such as Bihar, Bengal, and Assam are worried about the safety of their women. “That is why I announced the Demography Mission from the Red Fort,” he added.
He attacked Congress, RJD of being driven for vote bank and appeasement politics alleging that the two parties are defending infiltrators.
“With complete disregard, they are not only supporting these outsiders but also raising slogans in their favor and even organizing marches for them,” he stated hinting towards the ‘Voter Adhikar Rally’ organised by Congress and RJD to protests against the Bihar Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls in Bihar.
