We will restore Bihar’s glory to the era of Chandragupta and Chanakya, usher in a new golden age: Yogi Adityanath in Bihar

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath addressed a large crowd in Bihar’s Siwan assembly constituency on Friday, delivering a clear message that the return of hereditary mafia and mafia rule in the state will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

Despite continuous rain and adverse weather, he heartily thanked the crowd and said that on Siwan’s land, the reign of fear and terror would never be allowed to return.

CM Yogi Adityanath stated, “The NDA government will restore the splendour that Bihar had in the time of Chandragupta and Chanakya, and will lead Bihar back to a golden age.” He warned that the descendants of those who destroyed Nalanda University are today trying to obstruct development with the intent of political Islam.

CM Yogi Adityanath expressed gratitude to the public for their enthusiasm despite heavy rains in Bihar. He said he had visited Raghunathpur the day before yesterday because a hereditary mafia there was trying to regain control. “In UP, we used bulldozers to crush such mafias, tearing them apart and opening the way to hell from UP’s soil,” he added.

CM Yogi Adityanath said that no Marich or Subahu would be allowed to raise their heads again on the land of Maa Sita. He added that the enthusiasm of the youth and mothers at the Raghunathpur rally, despite heavy rain, showed that a big wave is rising in Siwan. Yogi said the intellect and talent of Bihar’s youth are recognised wherever they go in the country and the world. “Over the past 20 years, under Nitish Babu’s leadership, good governance has built a strong foundation. Now, the time has come to build a strong structure on it with the help of Bihar’s intellect,” he remarked.

Targeting opposition parties, CM Yogi said that many people are trying to mislead the public in their own ways. These are the same lot who had plunged Bihar into an identity crisis and forced the residents of Siwan to live in fear and terror.

He added, “They must never be allowed to return under any circumstances. This fight is not just for power, but for Bihar’s self-respect — a fight to restore Bihar’s pride and glorious tradition, and to take it back to a golden age. Bihar once showed the whole of India a golden age.” He further said that India’s progress depends on Bihar’s progress, adding, “When Bihar develops, nothing can stop India from becoming a developed nation.”

CM Yogi said, “Bihar’s sons Chandragupta Maurya and Chanakya made India’s name resound across the world. At that time, India’s contribution to the world economy was 40 per cent. The valour and bravery were Chandragupta Maurya’s, while the intelligence and wisdom were Chanakya’s. Together, they presented India before the world as the ‘golden bird’.”

He added, “The foreign invaders who destroyed Nalanda University — and even their present-day descendants — are now returning and obstructing development with a missionary zeal to further their own interests as part of the political Islam’s strategy. The British forced the artisans and craftsmen here, along with the food‐providing farmers, to die of hunger. As heirs of the British, the Congress, following the same British tradition, has put Bihar into crisis and blocked development. What remained was finished off by the RJD.”

CM Yogi said, “During the RJD’s rule in Bihar, crime and kidnapping had turned into an industry. Anarchy, hooliganism, and nepotism prevailed, as relatives of a single family dominated every sphere of the state. They created an identity crisis for the youth and even looted animal fodder, pushing Bihar’s young generation into despair.”

CM Yogi added, “India is grateful to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Born into a poor household and living as an ordinary citizen, Modi ji began his life in simplicity but went on to lead the nation from 2014 onwards. Today, under the leadership of Modi ji and Nitish Babu, the NDA government has provided free rations to 80 crore people, free health insurance under Ayushman Bharat to 50 crore citizens, toilets in 12 crore households, bank accounts for 45 crore poor people, and direct pension and scholarship benefits into their accounts. Four crore poor families have also been given homes. Modi ji has resolved that every poor person will have a roof over their head. Why did the RJD and Congress never do this?”

CM Yogi said, “The INDI alliance obstructs development and abuses our heritage. They seek power only to loot and exploit schemes meant for the welfare of the poor. If the Congress and RJD come to power, they will cut off the poor’s ration and swallow it. In the name of providing jobs for the youth, they will even grab your land. These people will not bring development; instead, in its name, they will revive mafia rule and unleash anarchy once again in Siwan and across Bihar.”

CM Yogi stated that just as professional criminals in UP are followers of the SP, similarly, in Bihar, criminals are followers of the RJD and Congress. They must not be allowed to flourish. He added, “Whenever they gain ground, they loot the rights of the poor, endanger the safety of sisters and daughters, snatch away jobs, and trample upon the prosperity of farmers. That is my appeal — I have come from Lucknow among you for this very reason.”

He said that Congress and RJD are the same people who tried to stop Lord Ram’s chariot procession. They have no pride in the heritage of Lord Ram, Krishna, or Buddha. These individuals insulted Dr Rajendra Prasad, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Baba Saheb Ambedkar, Jayaprakash Narayan, and Karpoori Thakur. They insulted Bihar’s son Sitaram Kesri. They worked to shatter the dreams of JP.

Yogi Adityanath stated that when Dr. Rajendra Prasad undertook the restoration of the Somnath temple, then Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru tried to stop him. Rajendra Babu, he said, had replied that he would resign if necessary, but would still go ahead with Somnath’s restoration. Yogi added that those who once stopped the Ram temple chariot in the Supreme Court had claimed that Lord Ram was imaginary. “However, today, if you visit Ayodhya, you can see how beautiful and grand the temple is,” he said. He further added that just as a magnificent Ram temple has been built in Ayodhya, the NDA government is also constructing a grand temple of Maa Janki in Sitamarhi. The route by which Lord Ram took Maa Sita to Ayodhya is being developed by the NDA government as the Ram–Janki Marg, with a budget of Rs 6,155 crore.

Yogi said that today’s Bihar is no longer trapped in identity politics. The state now has road, rail, and air connectivity; metro work is underway; and inland waterways are expanding rapidly. Schools, colleges, medical institutions, and engineering colleges are being established across Bihar. Under Nitish Babu’s leadership, the first instalment has been released to help 75 lakh women move towards economic self-reliance.

CM Yogi Adityanath said, “This is the NDA, we don’t make false promises. We act first and speak later. We said we’d build the Ram Temple, and it’s done. We said we’d end mafia rule, and we did. We said there would be no riots, and today, no one in Uttar Pradesh dares to start one. The state is peaceful. We’ve warned rioters: provoke violence and your ancestral land will be confiscated; no mercy, no compensation. The houses we built for the poor now stand on land that once belonged to those rioters.”

He said, “We vowed to eliminate the mafia, and their ticket to hell is already booked. Bihar, too, is now on the same path; the NDA always delivers on its promises.”

He appealed to the people to elect NDA candidates for a developed Bihar. He said that within the NDA, whether the candidate is from the BJP, JD(U), LJP, or HAM, victory must be ensured for each of them. “From a developed Bihar, we will move towards the vision of a developed India — and from there, advance with the concept of Ramrajya,” he said.
