BRS MLA K Kavitha on Monday accused former Telangana minister Harish Rao and his kin J Santhosh of joining hands with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and framing her father over alleged irregularities in Kaleshwaram project.
She accused the duo of indulging in corruption along with the contractor firm and said the former chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, was being made into a scapegoat.
After the setback of the CBI inquiry, the BRS party and the Kalvakuntla family suffered another jolt as Kalvakuntla Kavitha blamed her cousins, T Harish Rao and J Santosh, for framing her father, K Chandrasekhar Rao, popularly known as KCR, in the PC Ghose report, which led to the CBI inquiry.
Kavitha, who arrived from the US today, said, “My stomach is churning with anger. KCR has given the Telangana people wealth that will not diminish for generations. KCR has no greed for food or money. This happened because of some people around KCR. All this happened because of Harish Rao.”
She went further and said, “KCR is being made the scapegoat. It was Harish Rao and Santosh who handled all the big projects. They accumulated huge assets by blinding KCR.
Kavitha said that KCR did not give the irrigation portfolio to Harish Rao in the second term because of the irregularities he committed in the Kaleshwaram project during the first term of the BRS regime. She also called out Megha Engineering and Infrastructure Limited, the contractor firm that executed the Kaleshwaram project.
While blaming her cousins for the mess, Kavitha was the first one from the family and BRS to admit that there were irregularities in the Kaleshwaram project. She also accused them of tarnishing her image on social media. However, soon afterward, her PRO was removed from the BRS WhatsApp group and messages about her statement were removed.
