Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on Wednesday held an hour-long meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and sought his guidance on the implementation of ongoing welfare schemes and overall development projects in the state.
Chief Minister Sharma called on the Prime Minister at his chambers in Parliament House in New Delhi this afternoon to greet him on the occasion of Vasanti Navratri and seek his guidance and blessings. He also presented to PM Modi an idol of Goddess Durga, carved out of a piece of sandalwood by renowned Jaipur-based artist Mohit Jangid.
“Called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji in his Parliament office today and received valuable guidance on the implementation of the state government’s welfare and development-centric schemes,” CM Sharma said in a press note issued here.
He added that the Prime Minister’s visionary leadership and his strong connect with the people have enabled Rajasthan to make significant strides in every sphere of development.
Drawing inspiration from the Prime Minister, every citizen of the state would move towards a brighter future and contribute to the realisation of the vision of a ‘Viksit Rajasthan’, he asserted.
Chief Minister Sharma is on a hectic visit to the national capital. After meeting the Prime Minister, he also held discussions with Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla.
Later, he is scheduled to hold meetings with Union Minister for Energy and Urban Development Manohar Lal Khattar and Union Civil Aviation Minister K. Ram Mohan Naidu.
