President Murmu to visit Vrindavan by special train on Thursday

President Droupadi Murmu will visit Vrindavan by a special train from Safdarjung Railway Station on Thursday.

During her day-long stay at Vrindavan, the President will perform darshan and pooja at Shri Banke Bihari Temple, Nidhivan and Kubja Krishan Mandir. She will also visit Sudama Kuti, Vrindavan and perform darshan and pooja at Shri Krishna Janmasthan, Mathura, the Rashtrapati Bhavan said in a statement

President Murmu last traveled on this special train in June 2023, traveling from Bhubaneswar to her hometown of Rairangpur in Odisha. This is her second train journey after a gap of two years and three months.

The sources said the President will arrive in Vrindavan via Faridabad-Palwal by special train. Security has been increased at railway stations, railway lines, and overbridges for President Murmu’s visit to Mathura-Vrindavan.

RPF and GRP personnel have been deployed throughout the section.

According to railway sources, Murmu will depart from Delhi’s Safdarjung Railway Station at 8:30 am by special train and arrive at Vrindavan Road Railway Station at 10:00 am. From there, she will travel by road to Mathura.

The sources said rail traffic may be halted for some time during the President’s visit.
