Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Palakkad and Trissur on Sunday as part of NDA’s election campaign for the upcomuing assembly elections in Kerala.
The Prime Minister is expected to arrive in Palakkad by helicopter from Coimbatore airport at 2.30 pm. He will address an election rally at Kotta maidanam(Fort Ground) in Palakkad at 2.45 pm in support of NDA candidates in various constituencies in Palakkad district, including party firebrand leader Sobha Surendran, who is seeking a mandate in Palakkad town seat.
The SPG, which inspected the Kotta Maidanam (Fort ground) in Palakkad where the prime minister’s rally is being held, has taken control of the ground.
After addressing the rally in Palakkad, the PM will proceed to Trissur, where he will hold a roadshow around 4 pm.
The visit marks the launch of the prime minister’s first phase of campaigning for the April 9 assembly elections in Kerala. A second round of his campaigning is tentatively planned for April 4, with programs expected at Pala in Kottayam and Thiruvananthapuram.
The election rallies for the Pala, Poonjar, Kanjirappally, and Vaikom constituencies will be held in Pala on April 4. The prime minister’s road show will also be held in Thiruvananthapuram city on the same day.
Union Ministers Amit Shah, J P Nadda, Rajnath Singh, and BJP national president Nitin Nabin will also reach Kerala in the coming days to boost the BJP-led NDA’s campaign for the elections.
