Prime Minister Narendra Modi, following his engagements in Bihar on Friday, shared a heartfelt message about his visit to Kashi (Varanasi), expressing gratitude for the grand welcome he received from the people of his Lok Sabha constituency. In a post on handle X, he announced that tomorrow, November 8, he will flag off four new Vande Bharat Express trains, including the Banaras-Khajuraho route, from the city of Baba Vishwanath.
“After attending the programs in Bihar today, I had the opportunity to visit Kashi, where the grand welcome by my family members left me overwhelmed,” PM Modi tweeted. “Tomorrow, on November 8, from the city of Baba Vishwanath, around 8:15 in the morning, I will have the privilege of flagging off four new Vande Bharat Express trains along the Banaras-Khajuraho route. These trains will make travel more convenient and secure for people in many parts of the country, while also boosting tourism and trade.”
The introduction of these trains is expected to significantly enhance connectivity across several regions, facilitating faster and safer travel for passengers. The Banaras-Khajuraho route, in particular, aims to strengthen tourism by linking two culturally and historically rich destinations.
Railway officials have welcomed the move, noting the strategic importance of these new routes in promoting regional development. “These Vande Bharat Express trains represent a leap forward in modern rail travel, combining speed, comfort, and safety. They will play a crucial role in boosting economic activity and tourism in the connected areas,” said a senior Railway Ministry official.
The inauguration of the trains comes at a time when India’s rail infrastructure is undergoing rapid modernization, aligning with the government’s vision of a more connected and prosperous nation.
PM Modi’s visit to Varanasi underscores his continued focus on development projects that impact daily lives and support India’s cultural heritage. The flagging off ceremony tomorrow at around 8:15 AM is anticipated to be a significant event, emphasizing the government’s commitment to improving public transport and enhancing regional connectivity.
