Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Mumbai on Wednesday to address the Maritime Leaders Conclave and chair the Global Maritime CEO Forum as part of India Maritime Week 2025, the government announced on Monday.
The event, being held at the NESCO Exhibition Centre, will convene top CEOs, investors, policymakers, and international partners to deliberate on the future of the global maritime ecosystem.
The Global Maritime CEO Forum, a flagship feature of India Maritime Week 2025, will focus on sustainable maritime growth, resilient supply chains, green shipping, and inclusive blue economy strategies.
The Prime Minister’s participation underscores his commitment to positioning India among the world’s leading maritime powers. His long-term vision for the sector rests on four strategic pillars — port-led development, shipping and shipbuilding, seamless logistics, and maritime skill-building.
The five-day event, themed “Uniting Oceans, One Maritime Vision,” will highlight India’s roadmap to becoming a global maritime hub and a leader in the Blue Economy. It will see participation from over 85 countries, 100,000 delegates, 500+ exhibitors, and 350+ international speakers.
Bringing together stakeholders across shipping, ports, shipbuilding, cruise tourism, and blue economy finance, India Maritime Week 2025 aims to translate India’s maritime vision into tangible action. With Prime Minister Modi’s participation, the event is expected to mark a significant milestone in India’s maritime journey.
