Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday congratulated Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on the Civil Contract Party’s victory in Armenia’s parliamentary elections, describing the result as a reflection of the Armenian people’s continued faith in his leadership and vision.

‎In a message posted on social media platform X, Modi conveyed his best wishes to Pashinyan and expressed optimism about the future of India-Armenia relations, emphasizing the shared commitment of both nations to further deepen bilateral cooperation.

‎“Congratulations to Mr. Nikol Pashinyan on the impressive victory of the Civil Contract Party in the parliamentary elections. The renewed mandate reflects the enduring trust and confidence of the people of Armenia in your leadership and vision,” the Prime Minister said.

‎Modi also reiterated India’s desire to strengthen its longstanding ties with Armenia, highlighting the warm and historic nature of the relationship between the two countries.
‎“I look forward to working closely with you to further deepen the warm and historic ties of friendship and cooperation between India and Armenia,” he added.

‎The congratulatory message comes at a time when New Delhi and Yerevan have been steadily expanding engagement across multiple sectors, including defence, trade, education, culture and technology. A series of high-level exchanges in recent years has further reinforced cooperation and enhanced diplomatic ties.

‎India and Armenia share deep historical and civilisational connections, with bilateral relations gaining significant momentum in recent years.
