Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal to conserve fuel, adopt public transport, promote carpooling, and adopting natural farming techniques is receiving the backing of social outfits, prominent personalities, and community organizations as it is in the interest of the country .
In line with PM’s call, a known face in the Delhi NCR, and the entire farmer fraternity in North India for that matter, Palam 360 Khap chief Chaudhary Surender Solanki, traveled by metro sending a strong message to the public on sustainable living.
Speaking to people during his metro journey, Solanki said helping reduce consumption of petrol and diesel has become a need of the hour in the present situation. He urged citizens to use the metro, buses, and other public transport wherever possible instead of private vehicles, and also to opt for carpooling whereever possible.
Solanki said the step will not only help save fuel but also curb pollution significantly.
The Khap chief extended his support to the Prime Minister’s other appeals, including promoting the use of electric vehicles, encouraging work from home, avoiding non-essential foreign travel, and refraining from buying gold for a while.
He emphasized that small steps and changes made by citizens will significantly contribute to strengthening country’s economy and also help protect environment.
The rural leader described PM Modi’s vision crucial for securing the future of the country and coming generations.
He appealed to the farmer fraternity to save fuel by adopting natural farming practices to promote nutritious diets, and aid in combating malnutrition among children.
The voice of farmers and rural Delhi also said that responsible leaders must lead by example in this initiative to inspire positive change at the grassroots level.
Several passengers who interacted with Solanki, welcomed the initiative, noting that when influential community leaders take such steps, it has a direct and positive impact on the general public.
