Two former communication experts from the NTPC have been honoured for their contributions to the field at an event in the national capital on Thursday, April 30.
KM Prashanth, former GM (Corporate Communications), NTPC was given the prestigious ‘Indian Public Sector Enterprise (IPSE) Doyen of the Decade (Public Sector)’ award for his contributions to India’s largest public sector enterprise in communications and public relations in the power and renewable energy domains.
The award was given by Anil Razdan, former Secretary (Power), Government of India, in the presence of Sandeep Gupta, former CMD, GAIL, as well as AK Singh, former CMD, NHPC.
The event was held at the SCOPE Convention Centre in the national capital.
As per an official communication, Prashanth is a seasoned professional having expertise in corporate communication, human resources and corporate affairs. He has successfully navigated various roles and responsibilities throughout his over three decades career with the NTPC
His experience in leading teams and implementing effective communication strategies have helped him to become a valuable asset to NTPC where he contributed significantly to the organisation’s success.
At the Thursday’s event, Razdan also presented the IPSE Life Time Achievement Award for Excellence to JP Sharma, former Deputy General Manager (Corporate Communications) at NTPC. The award was given to recognise his contributions to the field of corporate communication.
Notably, the IPSE Awards are instituted by PSE Journal in association with the ENERTIA Foundation and aim to recognise excellence within India’s public sector enterprises across core economy sectors as well as their vital contribution to the nation’s GDP.
Apart from individual leadership, it covers both central and State PSEs.
