Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar launched a sharp attack on INDIA bloc’s CM nominee Tejashwi Yadav for promising government jobs to every family, and asked youth not to be misled.

Soon after the launch of INDIA Alliance’s manifesto, Nitish Kumar said, “These days, some people are misleading the youth by making deceptive announcements about government jobs and employment. When they were in power for 15 years in the state, they did nothing for the welfare of the youth and were instead busy looting the state treasury.”

“My request to you is not to be misled by anyone. Please remember the work our government has done for you. We are the ones who will continue to work in the future as well. Whatever we say, we fulfill,” he added.

In a post on ‘X’, the JD(U) supremo stated that in the past few years, industrialisation has gained momentum in the state. With the double strength of the NDA’s double-engine government, large-scale industries will be established in the state.

He further said, “Our top priority will continue to be providing employment to the youth. We have decided that in the next five years, one crore youths will be given jobs and employment. We will ensure that the youth of the state no longer have to leave Bihar out of compulsion in search of work.”

He added that entrepreneurs and investors from Bihar who are successfully running industries in various states of the country will be specially invited and encouraged to invest in the state. This will lead to the establishment of new industries in Bihar and create new employment opportunities.

He promised that under the Make in India initiative, in coordination with the Ministry of Defence and defence equipment manufacturers, a Bihar defence industrial corridor will be established for the production of defence equipment and weapons in Bihar. Emphasis will be placed on public-private partnerships for this purpose.
