Names of around 41.85 lakh voters have been deleted from the electoral rolls during the enumeration phase of the special intensive review (SIR) process in Rajasthan, conducted between November 4 and December 11, 2025.
A total of 5.04 crore enumeration forms were collected within the given deadline of December 11. Of the deleted ones, 8.75 lakh were reported as deceased, 29.6 lakh as shifted or absent, 3.44 lakh were found enrolled at multiple places, and 27,485 were deleted due to other reasons, Rajasthan Chief Electoral Officer Navin Mahajan said here Tuesday evening.
The names of around 11 lakh electors were not found in the previous 2002 SIR rolls; hence, they would be given notices for submission of the requisite document for addition of their names in the revised rolls during the claims and objection phase that would last until January 15, 2026, Mahajan said.
Besides, those who could not submit the enumeration form on time in the first phase can also submit it with the required documents until January 15, 2026.
“Our objective in the whole drill is clearly defined; we aim to ensure the maximum participation, complete inclusion of all eligible ones, and full transparency at every stage of the process,” the CEO said.
