Stating that the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) form the backbone of the Indian economy and provide employment to crores of families across the country, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav said on Sunday that the state government is continuously encouraging the establishment of employment-oriented industries in Madhya Pradesh.
“Our objective is to establish one crore MSMEs in the state by 2047,” the MP CM said while addressing the ‘Samriddh MSMEs-Vikasit Madhya Pradesh’ event held at the Kushabhau Thakre International Convention Centre in Bhopal.
At the event, he distributed incentives and benefits through a single-click transfer to MSME entrepreneurs, startups and beneficiaries of various government schemes.
He informed that the government’s goal is to promote industry in every district, employment in every family, and opportunities for every youth.
Lauding Prime Minister Narendra Modi on completing 12 years of his rule, the CM said, “The MSME sector has undergone a remarkable transformation under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership during the past twelve years.”
Chief Minister Dr Yadav distributed incentive assistance exceeding ₹360 crore to 900 MSME units through a single-click transfer. All pending liabilities up to March 31, 2026, were also cleared. He disbursed ₹2.02 crore as assistance to six units that have established Effluent Treatment Plants (ETPs), reimbursed mandi fees worth ₹1.07 crore to units under a special package and released ₹3.69 crore towards electricity tariff support for eleven units. The Chief Minister also distributed loan assistance under the Chief Minister Udyam Kranti Yojana, land allotment letters and incentives under the Madhya Pradesh StartUp Policy 2025.
He said Madhya Pradesh is among the leading states in entrepreneurship and innovation. He informed that more than 1.25 crore people have secured employment in the more than 24 lakh MSME units in the state.
“Of these, more than 4.41 lakh units are led by women entrepreneurs, reflecting the success of women’s empowerment initiatives,” Dr Yadav pointed out.
He said the government has set a target of providing ₹4,500 crore over the next two-and-a-half years to strengthen MSMEs. He informed that the MSME Development Policy is strengthening entrepreneurs by providing investment incentives of up to 40 per cent, incentives of up to 60 per cent for food processing industries, and an additional 8 per cent support for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and women entrepreneurs.
