Modi is not only longest-serving but also finest PM, says Devendra Fadnavis

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said here on Friday that Narendra Modi is not only India’s longest-serving but also its finest prime minister.

Congratulating Prime Minister Modi for completing 12 years in power, Fadnavis said, “On behalf of the 14 crore people of Maharashtra, I congratulate him wholeheartedly for breaking the record of the longest-elected prime minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.”

Stating that the Prime Minister lifted 25 crore people out of extreme poverty, he called it the miracle of this decade. “Modi is not only the longest-serving but also India’s finest prime minister,” he contended.

“The NDA has achieved what the Congress could not. We are more happy that the BJP government came to power in Bengal, the birthplace of Bharatiya Jana Sangh (the BJP’s earlier avatar),” the Chief Minister added.

He recalled that during his 12-year tenure, Modi received 32 international awards, 22 of which are the highest awards, during his 12-year tenure. “If you look at the country’s diversity, you can see the trust in India’s leadership. We are moving forward with the vision of creating a 5-trillion dollar economy. Today, India can repay 84 percent of its debt in a single day,” Fadnavis said.

He claimed the Congress-led UPA government lacked enough foreign exchange reserves to cover even one day’s imports, but now we have forex reserves to last for 11 months. “Maharashtra is first in GST collection. We have surpassed everyone in digital transactions and 30 countries use the UPI we launched. Direct tax collection has exceeded 27 lakh crores. India is becoming a global giant in semiconductors,” Fadnavis said.

“81 crore citizens have been provided with food security under the Modi government. More than 11 crore have been given more than Rs 4 lakh crore under the Kisan Samman Yojana. He listed Prime Minister Modi’s achievements, stating, “Milk production has increased by 70 percent, and today India produces the largest amount of milk.”
