In a strategic move to strengthen the party’s organizational structure ahead of the upcoming elections, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati has appointed former Rajya Sabha MP Ashok Siddharth as the Central Coordinator for four crucial states: Chhattisgarh, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, and Gujarat.

Siddharth, who rejoined the BSP recently, is also the father-in-law of Mayawati’s nephew and the party’s National Coordinator, Akash Anand.

Sources confirmed on Sunday that Siddharth will take over as the Central Coordinator for Sector-3 of BSP’s national structure, a role previously held by Randhir Singh Beniwal. The party has divided the country into six organizational sectors to better streamline its operations and outreach, with each sector comprising three to four states.

Following the reshuffle, Beniwal has been reassigned to Sector-4, which was previously managed by Dr. Lalji Medhankar. Dr. Medhankar, in turn, will now lead Sector-5, while former MLA Atar Singh Rao, who had been overseeing Sector-5, will be shifted to Sector-6. Sector-6 was previously under the leadership of Dharmveer Singh, also a former MLA.

Meanwhile, Ramji Gautam (Sector-1) and Rajaram (Sector-2), both former MPs, will continue in their existing roles without change.

The reshuffle is part of Mayawati’s ongoing efforts to revitalize the party and expand its base ahead of upcoming elections. Akash Anand, as National Coordinator, will oversee the performance of all sector coordinators, ensuring greater efficiency.
