Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati Sunday extended heartfelt greetings to the people of Uttarakhand on the 25th anniversary of the state’s formation, calling it a moment of pride and reflection for all residents.
In her message posted on X (formerly Twitter), Mayawati congratulated people in Uttarakhand on the occasion of the state’s Silver Jubilee. She recalled that during her tenure as Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, her government had created several new districts, tehsils, and blocks to promote public welfare, development, and administrative convenience in the hill regions that later became part of Uttarakhand.
Expressing her good wishes for the people of the state, she said she hoped that “the lives of the people of the newly formed Uttarakhand remain happy and prosperous.”
Mayawati also urged the government and administration to “work with the right intention and policy,” emphasising that such governance would lead to better results for the people and the state’s overall progress.
