BSP chief Mayawati Sunday expressed concern on several issues including poverty, unemployment, the chaos in airline operations, severe air pollution in Delhi, and the declining value of the rupee.
She claimed these escalating problems have left the entire nation worried and stressed that meaningful solutions can only be found by implementing Dr B R Ambedkar’s humanitarian and welfare-oriented Constitution in the right spirit.
In a statement on X, Mayawati urged governments to abandon a purely commercial approach and instead formulate policies, laws and programmes with honesty, transparency and genuine public interest. Only such an approach, she said, can ensure relief from prevailing challenges and promote national welfare.
The BSP supremo also thanked lakhs of Ambedkar followers and party supporters who gathered in massive numbers on 6 December to observe Mahaparinirvan Diwas. Major events were held at the Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar Samajik Parivartan Sthal in Lucknow and the Rashtriya Dalit Prerna Sthal in Noida, along with zonal programmes across various states.
Mayawati expressed heartfelt gratitude to party workers and leaders from Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Delhi and other regions, saying their devotion to Dr. Ambedkar’s mission was worthy of high praise. She reminded that Ambedkar fought throughout his life for the rights, uplift and welfare of the Bahujan masses, and that the constitutional safeguards he ensured must be properly implemented today.
