Dismissing concerns over his security, RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav on Tuesday, July 7, said he has “no problem” with it and described himself as a “lion of Bihar.”

“I am a lion of Bihar, and I don’t have any problem,” Lalu Yadav told IANS while talking about his security downgrade.

On being asked about the alleged political targeting by Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, the RJD leader said, “Let them target.”

On the silence of former Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on the matter, he replied, “Yes, everyone is silent.”

Lalu Yadav further expressed confidence in his son and Leader of the Opposition, Tejashwi Yadav.

“Yes, he is taking the party (RJD) forward well. There is no problem,” he said.

Lalu Yadav’s statement comes days after one of most iconic addresses in Bihar politics – 10 Circular Road in Patna – entered a new chapter when Rabri Devi vacated the government bungalow after staying there for nearly 20 years.

Accompanied by her husband Lalu Yadav, Rabri Devi has now shifted to their family’s private residence in Kautilya Nagar. She had been residing at the government bungalow since February 2, 2006.

The house was allotted to her when she was the Leader of the Opposition, first in the Bihar Legislative Assembly and later in the Legislative Council.
