Investigate AIMIM under MCOCA for helping TCS case accused Nida Khan

Maharashtra Minister for Social Justice Sanjay Shirsat

Maharashtra Minister for Social Justice Sanjay Shirsat alleged here on Friday that arrested TCS Nashik sexual exploitation and conversion accused Nida Khan had received help from former All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) MP Imtiyaz Jaleel, for allegedly helping her to evade the police, and hence he must be investigated under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA).

Speaking to media persons here, after Nida Khan was arrested, Sanjay Shirsat alleged, “Yesterday, Nashik police arrested Nida Khan, the main accused in the TCS Nashik conversion case from Sambhajinagar. This incident took place in March. It is not known where Nida Khan was for one and a half to two months. ”

“Nida Khan was hiding in an area in Sambhajinagar, which is a slum area. Drug dealing is carried out there. She was not alone. Her mother and aunt were with her. AIMIM supported her. Former AIMIM MP Imtiyaz Jaleel had made an open statement regarding this in the past and in a sense, he had supported her,” Shirsat alleged.

“The AIMIM is increasing its activities in other places as well. Religious conversions and cheating of girls are carried out under the leadership of the AIMIM. Nida Khan is merely a pawn. Their network is spread all over Maharashtra. Such things can be seen everywhere including Pune and Sambhajinagar,” Shirsat alleged.

“I will meet the Chief Minister and demand a special investigation team (SIT) inquiry into this matter. The mastermind behind this must be found out. Such training is given to youth between the ages of 22 and 30. They do not have a job but they have money. They have bikes. Where does this money come from?

“AIMIM’s Imtiyaz Jaleel should also be investigated. This is a big conspiracy. Why did they openly support Nida Khan? They even held a press conference for Nida Khan. Why does Nida Khan go only to Sambhajinagar and not anywhere else? Sambhajinagar has been infamous for terrorist activities earlier as well,” Shirsat alleged.

Earlier, AIMIM leader Imtiyaz Jaleel had stated that rejection of Nida Khan’s anticipatory bail plea by a sessions court does not mean that she is a criminal.

“She can approach the high court and the Supreme Court. But it is unfortunate that such cases are imposed on people through ‘media trials’. I hope the police will follow the law. If they have anything to ask, they will question me,” AIMIM leader Imtiyaz Jaleel had said.

Nida Khan, who has been arrested, has been accused of targeting employees in a WhatsApp group, pressuring them to pray and eat non-vegetarian food. According to an FIR, she also allegedly advised women employees to dress and behave in accordance with Islamic traditions.
