International Yoga Day 2026: Baba Ramdev, Acharya Balkrishna to lead celebrations from Andhra Pradesh

Baba Ramdev and Acharya Balkrishna will be leading the International Day of Yoga 2026 celebrations from Vijaywada/Amravati in Andhra Pradesh on Sunday, June 21.

For the special occasion, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will be the special guest, while the event will take place under the theme – “Yoga For Healthy Aging”

The program is being organised by the Ayush Department of Andhra Pradesh government in association with Patanjali Yogpeeth, Haridwar.

“Located on the banks of the Krishna River, The Amravati – the upcoming futuristic, global metropolis and the ‘City of Tolerance’ or ‘Abode of the Immortals’ is the premier site of ancient Amaravati Stupa and Dhyan Buddha statue, prominent Amageswara temple of Lord Shiva,” read a statement.

The event will be held at Indira Gandhi Stadium in Bijaywada’s Labbipet. It will take place from 5 a.m. to 7:30 a.m.

The statement added that “Mahakumbh like massive arrangements” have been put in place to mark the 12th International Day of Yoga. In total, 28 units of multi-cams, drones and LED screens have been deployed for the same.
